Hello everyone, and welcome to Motion Game. Today I would like to give you a review of a new interesting game which is called Hunter Blade. As you can see from the picture below, it really looks like Monster Hunter, but it is not.
Hunter Blade is developed by JoyChina and the English version of Hunter Blade is published Bee Boom Online. The game itself is really really similar with Monster Hunter (maps, monsters, crafting, and some user interface are similar). In this game you will be able to slay monsters from the little ones to the giant ones, collect various things from them, take missions, be in a clan, PVP with other players, and other activities. I would say it has a medium player base because many people from around the world knows Monster Hunter, and they probably want to experience an MMORPG Monster Hunter.
Creating the Hunter
First thing first, create your character. In the character creation you can choose your gender, hair color, hairstyle, face, avatar, and choose your starter weapon. Starter weapon is actually not really important because there are no fix classes. You can use your weapons interchangeably, but you can only choose 1 from 3 different weapons (wand, sword, 1 handed sword) at the beginning. After you finish with you hero, lets go to the game.
Teach Me Master!
You will begin your tutorial right after you start the game. You will be taught various movement and later kill a mammoth. After finishing the tutorial, you will be sent to the main town. Doing the main quests is probably the best thing to do before going straight killing dragons or stuffs. The quests will teach you further about the game, and after that you can take missions(quests) or you can just go straight to the hunting map. In each of your adventure, you will be given free supplies which you can take from an NPC called Rebecca which always stands by in the hunting camp. And if you likely just want to go back from the hunting map, you can just use the Return Rune (or go back to the lovely Rebecca and ask her to take you back) and you will be teleported back straight to the town. In Hunter Blade, you can choose to go hunting by yourself, or find a party to go and complete the hunt together. So it would be that boring because we can have another player to help and support you.
Eventhough you will get familiar with the maps at the beginning, do not worry because you will unlock another region at certain level which is of course gives you more challenge and reward rather than the previous maps. And while hunting, do not forget also to sharpen your weapons because it effects the quality of your weapons. Gather resources from the monsters and craft something that would be useful for you and your friends.
What’s good about Hunter Blade?
+ The game is similar with the popular game, Monster Hunter. It’s a fun and different kind of MMORPG.
+ Easy guidance for newbies (especially those who does not know Monster Hunter) and also beginners will be given free items.
+ Still fun and playable in free-of-charge mode (means you don’t pay, but still can play).
+ Auto-move to quest (and also in hunting maps). Just click the quest information or a position on the map, and your character will move there by him/herself.
+ An offline bulletin; just a little bit of something before you leave the game (quests you haven’t finished, some shop items, Hunter Blade event, and a reminder for you).
+ No fix classes, no need to worry about managing your character stats, and a detail crafting system.
Another side of the game?
- Well, because its still beta, we can’t blame the game for some bugs (like script error which occurs from time to time, or is it just me?). I’m sure there will be further development before it released the final stage of the game.
- Funny English speech from the NPCs
- Limited character customization
- Some quests objectives actually are different with the monster name (still, its beta )
- Repetitive gameplay, might be boring for lonewolf players (solo players).
There is it guys my review of Hunter Blade. What do you think think about the game? Is it really similar to Monster Hunter in your opinion? Share some thoughts and give comments in the comment section. I hope that you enjoy my Hunter Blade review, and to summarize everything, Hunter Blade is a worth game to try because it gives you another atmosphere of a different type of MMORPG (especially those of you who have already played Monster Hunter before).
