Rusty Hearts

Hello guys! Welcome back to Motion Game, this is Motion Ape and today I will give you a review about Rusty Hearts before I will be busy with my mid-term exam starts (which is actually next week). And yes, Rusty Hearts, another unique free-to-play 3D action MMORPG that is developed by WindySoft and published by Perfect World. The graphic is anime-style and it is actually pretty good and the gameplay is quite fun for an action MMORPG.

Rusty_Hearts_logo

In Rusty Hearts, you don’t go around the world slaying monsters, but actually you go for dungeon instances. You will take missions (or freely just enter the dungeon) that you have unlocked based on your level. The fighting focuses on the real-time combat, so its not by clicking the enemy and wait till it dies. But rather you use your keyboard (which you can also use your gamepad) to move and position your character, choose your skill and do your kill. By learning the skills, you can also create a combo to finish the enemies. For the player base, I would say medium player base because you don’t really find many people in the town, but it’s still easy to join a party because you can propose to join a party in town at any time (if available). I have tried it before, and it is easy to team up with people in the range of your level. It is more fun to play Rusty Hearts with other people, of course Open-mouthed smile

Create (or more like choose) your character

In Rusty Hearts, there are 4 basic characters that you can choose. And each character have 4 slots (means total of 16 character slots), this will allow you to create different types of same character (probably the skills or equipment set). You cannot customize the character a single bit, so you will only choose the character and play it. Each character will have different background story, which will also give you a different story in the following game.

Different character will wield different weapon and different stats distribution;

1. Frantz Kruger, he is a human-vampire guy that uses sword or axe as his weapon. His alternate avatars are Roselle Vergerius and Leila Vergerius.

2. Angela Strraughend, she is a witch that wields magical sword or magical scythe. Her alternate avatar is Edgar Grosvenor.

3. Natasha Borzenkova, she is a gunner that uses dual revolver or a rifle. She does not have an alternate avatar (yet, probably).

4. Tude MacLoud, he is a normal human with a strong wolf-like left arm (due to his background story) that equips himself with gauntlet or claw. His alternate avatar is Meilin Chen.

Into the dungeon!

After you have chosen your character, you will start the game in Curtis Castle. This starting point will lead you to basic tutorial playing Rusty Hearts (basic attack, using skills) by fighting some easy skeleton enemies. After you have completed the tutorial, you will be sent to the main city. You will accept a quest and learn more about Rusty Hearts. Do some beginner quests for experience, item, and also basic knowledge about the game. At first, you won’t be able to access some parts of the city. But if you follow the main story (quest), you will unlock the region shortly.

If you want to start your dungeon adventure, go to the purple warp thingy and choose the available dungeon. You can choose the difficulties if you have completed the lower difficulties before. If you want to go with your party, the party leader will be the one to choose the map, but before that, all party members have to gathered in the warp together. When you are ready, lets get ready for battle!

You will arrive at the starting point, and will have to defeat all enemies in the area before opening the gate/door to another area. When you reach to the deepest part of the dungeon, you will encounter the boss. Early bosses are easy so do not worry. In each dungeon instances, there are chances that you will acquire hunter ticket, which can be used to trade for an item, and some bronze/silver/gold card to have an opportunity to receive an item at the end of the dungeon instance. After you have completed the dungeon, you can either choose to do it again, change the map, or just go back to town. Remember to bring some potions and upgrade your equipment if possible.

And here it comes, what’s good not what not quite good part of Rusty Hearts Smile :

What’s good about it?

+ combo hack-n-slash gameplay which is fun to play

+ gamepad compatibility, but using the keyboard is not that hard though

+ wonderful anime-style graphic

+ story based characters

+ party matching which make players easier to meet another players with the same goals or mission or just to have fun together

+ you can customize your looks differently with other players by using costumes

+ great BGM, item crafting, and everyday luck (which gives you random boost everyday)

What’s not quite good about this?

- patch file is quite big for some players

- character/class is limited to gender

- choosing the world have to be done outside (might not be a big problem, but some players might find it weird)

- its nice that you can customize your character with costumes, but to unlock more it costs real life money

Overall rating? I would love to recommend you guys to try and play Rusty Hearts. It is a good 3D real-time action MMORPG and it is really fun to play with. There is also a PvP system so you can try your character build with another player. The types of PvP are Arena / Guild Battles / Tournaments, so you can choose what PvP gameplay you want to be into.  That is all for my review for Rusty Hearts, I hope you enjoy it, and do drop some comments below and follow Motion Game from Facebook by clicking the Like button Open-mouthed smile and also subscribe by entering your e-mail address in the subscribe box on the right.

Thank you guys for visiting Motion Game, this is Motion Ape, I’ll be signing out. Enjoy the review, and happy gaming! (Happy Easter as well!)

Hunter Blade, An Online Monster-Hunter-like

Hello everyone, and welcome to Motion Game. Today I would like to give you a review of a new interesting game which is called Hunter Blade. As you can see from the picture below, it really looks like Monster Hunter, but it is not.
Hunter-Blade-logo
Hunter Blade is developed by JoyChina and the English version of Hunter Blade is published Bee Boom Online. The game itself is really really similar with Monster Hunter (maps, monsters, crafting, and some user interface are similar). In this game you will be able to slay monsters from the little ones to the giant ones, collect various things from them, take missions, be in a clan, PVP with other players, and other activities. I would say it has a medium player base because many people from around the world knows Monster Hunter, and they probably want to experience an MMORPG Monster Hunter.

Creating the Hunter
First thing first, create your character. In the character creation you can choose your gender, hair color, hairstyle, face, avatar, and choose your starter weapon. Starter weapon is actually not really important because there are no fix classes. You can use your weapons interchangeably, but you can only choose 1 from 3 different weapons (wand, sword, 1 handed sword) at the beginning. After you finish with you hero, lets go to the game.

Teach Me Master!
You will begin your tutorial right after you start the game. You will be taught various movement and later kill a mammoth. After finishing the tutorial, you will be sent to the main town. Doing the main quests is probably the best thing to do before going straight killing dragons or stuffs. The quests will teach you further about the game, and after that you can take missions(quests) or you can just go straight to the hunting map. In each of your adventure, you will be given free supplies which you can take from an NPC called Rebecca which always stands by in the hunting camp. And if you likely just want to go back from the hunting map, you can just use the Return Rune (or go back to the lovely Rebecca and ask her to take you back) and you will be teleported back straight to the town. In Hunter Blade, you can choose to go hunting by yourself, or find a party to go and complete the hunt together. So it would be that boring because we can have another player to help and support you.

Eventhough you will get familiar with the maps at the beginning, do not worry because you will unlock another region at certain level which is of course gives you more challenge and reward rather than the previous maps. And while hunting, do not forget also to sharpen your weapons because it effects the quality of your weapons. Gather resources from the monsters and craft something that would be useful for you and your friends.

What’s good about Hunter Blade?
+ The game is similar with the popular game, Monster Hunter. It’s a fun and different kind of MMORPG.
+ Easy guidance for newbies (especially those who does not know Monster Hunter) and also beginners will be given free items.
+ Still fun and playable in free-of-charge mode (means you don’t pay, but still can play).
+ Auto-move to quest (and also in hunting maps). Just click the quest information or a position on the map, and your character will move there by him/herself.
+ An offline bulletin; just a little bit of something before you leave the game (quests you haven’t finished, some shop items, Hunter Blade event, and a reminder for you).
+ No fix classes, no need to worry about managing your character stats, and a detail crafting system.

Another side of the game?
- Well, because its still beta, we can’t blame  the game for some bugs (like script error which occurs from time to time, or is it just me?). I’m sure there will be further development before it released the final stage of the game.
- Funny English speech from the NPCs
- Limited character customization
- Some quests objectives actually are different with the monster name (still, its beta Smile)
- Repetitive gameplay, might be boring for lonewolf players (solo players).

There is it guys my review of Hunter Blade. What do you think think about the game? Is it really similar to Monster Hunter in your opinion? Share some thoughts and give comments in the comment section. I hope that you enjoy my Hunter Blade review, and to summarize everything, Hunter Blade is a worth game to try because it gives you another atmosphere of a different type of MMORPG (especially those of you who have already played Monster Hunter before). You can check their website here.
That is all folks, I will be signing out. Don’t forget to subscribe your email and Like the Motion Game Facebook Page! Thank you all and happy gaming!

Crystal Saga

Hello guys, and welcome back to Motion Game. I am Motion Ape, and today I will give you the review of Crystal Saga. It’s a 2.5D web browser-based game that is published by Reality Squared Games. The game itself, like any other web-browser game, does not need to be downloaded to be played. You just have to create an account, and play it straight from your web browser. So, you don’t have to worry about spacing up your hard disk. It may filled your browser cookies, but you can just clean it up CCleaner.

Crystal Saga is a web-based MMORPG that has a good quality of graphic (to be compared with other web-browser games) with cute character and world design and a game that has a long story as the main quest. You might encounter many grindings in this game, but there are also some side-quests to help you experience the game in a more "”story” way. There are a lot of features provided in the game such as pet, mount, soul development system, and many other features, so it won’t be a boring game to try or even to get serious at. The game itself is easy to learn and GUI friendly (simple user interface) and the game system will guide you through the quests.

At first, of course you have to create an R2 Games account, or, you can just use your Facebook, Yahoo!, Google, or Windows Live ID account to make life more easier. After logging in with your account, you can select which server that you would like to play (but you cannot use your character that you have build in one server to be played in other server. Choose wisely, ask your friends if you have referrer).

Create your character!

After choosing the server, and here we are in the character creation. As you can see from the picture below, you can choose 1 from 5 different classes which are Knight, Rogue, Priest, Ranger, and Mage. Each type has it own uniqueness, attributes, and skills. You can also pick a gender and choose which display picture for your character (does not effect your in-game character)

Character Creation

After you are happy enough with your character, I will tell you a bit about the character features. Each job type, will have another 2 different branches that you can choose. And each branch have different skills, but you can have skills from both sides. It just depends on what build you are making. You can have a title which you can obtain through some achievements (some title has a bonus). There is also rank (nobility) and PVP type to determine are you a good or an evil character. You can create a party to have fun around with your friends, or you can join (or make) a guild for a bigger and more serious community in Crystal Saga. Many things you can do when you are in a guild, like guild daily quests, or have a resource battle with other guilds.

Skills

Into the game!

As you start your game, Goddess of Fate will greet you, and you will learn that you are a reborn from a warrior of the last great battle. And voila~ welcome to the world Vidalia! The game system, from here, will guide you through the beginning of the game telling you what is the background story and also how to play Crystal Saga. Easy guidance is shown as a big arrow telling you to “Click Here". I recommend you to follow the main quest to learn more and it’s the fastest way to level up and also get free stuffs.

Later in the game, you will obtain a pet which is your battle companion. Pet has unique skills and they act randomly (but you can choose between Attack or just Follow). They level up and you can organize its attribute, you can choose which pet to be summoned from other pets that you have obtained, and you can also evolve your pet by using an item. Other than pet, you can also obtain your mount. A mount can be used to help you travel faster (though its weird that your first mount is a turtle. And turtle walks faster than you in Crystal Saga). You can also evolve your mount by using an item, and some mounts can also attack.

Achievement

Other than the character, pet, and mount system, there are also many other interesting features from item socketing, item enchanting,  wings, game shop, AFK mode, aaaaand many others. but I can’t explain it all here because it would take pages Laughing out loud for further information you can go to the official site, or to the wikia page.

And here we are, my list of what’s good and what’s not quite good about Crystal Saga.

What’s good?

+ You are able to reset your skills in the future (level 50, or purchase from game shop, or guild contribution, or Dragon Hunt)

+ Soul development system, pet development system, mount development system, equipment enchanting and socketing, and dungeon instances (which are some pretty good features for a web-based game)

+ Auto-move to quest to make your life easier and hotkeys to help you in the game

+ AFK Mode which is pretty unique for Crystal Saga. Its like a grinding bot, but official. Open-mouthed smile

+ Easy guide for beginners (remember the big arrow from before?)

+ Free items everyday (Dragon Hunt) and free online coupons (2 coupons/online hour)

What’s not quite good?

- Automated low-level deletion. Well this is a dilemma because it has a good side and a bad side as well. The good side is the server is kept clean from inactive low level characters. Well, don’t want them to fill the server, right? The bad side is, well what if he/she plays back? It would be bad for them.

- Repetitive gameplay, though it has stories and quests, but you mainly kill monsters or collect items.

- Pay-to-win, just like free MMORPG these days Disappointed smile

- Limited character creation (as you can see from the Character Creation screenshot)

And that is all guys for Crystal Saga review. I have to say that Crystal Saga is a good game to play for fun or in a serious way. Go on, check it out here and find it out yourself. It’s free and you don’t need to pay to have a “so much win” if you just want to play it for fun. Its still playable Smile You can get free Crystals anyway from doing some survey or other offers. Many people share the guides in the forum and wikia, so it would be good to research the guide before jumping on the ball.

The Jakarta 8th Toys and Comics Fair (War) 2012

Hello guys! And back with me Motion Ape and with today’s post, I will show you some photos from the Jakarta 8th Toys and Comics Fair War 2012 that is currently held in Balai Kartini from March 10 to March 11, 2012. The event is pretty crowded, and there are so many toys from many games and comics are sold. There are action figures (like of course), pins, key holder, mouse pad, LEGO, and many others that I might even see. Without any further meaningless speech, here are the photos Open-mouthed smile

Click to enlarge (to avoid bandwidth killer)

The Toys Fair (as I call it) is a really fun place to go to. Especially if you have the collection hobbies, this must be the place that you want to be. For me, I only bought a Fairy Tail key holder since I like to watch Fairy Tail. I spent most of my money in the Food Area, therefore I cannot afford to buy an action figure there Smile with tongue out

And today seems to be the last day of the Jakarta 8th Toys and Comics Fair War 2012, and the closing will be at 21.00 WIB as stated in the rundown. So if you are in Jakarta and would like to see this Toys Fair, come to Balai Kartini which is located on Jalan Jendral Gatot Subroto.

That is all folks for today’s post. I hope that you enjoy some of these pictures. And for the next post I will for sure post another game review (which in currently being reviewed by me). Stay tuned with Motion Game and don’t forget to subscribe by submitting your email address on “Follow Motion Game” box Open-mouthed smile

Happy Gaming guys!
