Hello fellow gamers, I am back again to Motion Game continuing what I love to do. Unfortunately, I could not update this gaming blog for a long time because I do have a life out of gaming
OK, enough with the chit-chat because I know my personal life wont interest anyone here and yeah! CastleVille!
CastleVille is another web-based game that is developed and published by Zynga. It is also the member of the Ville Family (FarmVille, CityVille). The game itself was released on November 2011 through Facebook. Me, myself, and I have tried this game back then to see the gameplay, and it was quite interesting.
CastleVille is set in a medieval world when there were no cars, planes, video games, and SOPA. The game’s objective is to allow players to create their own kingdom with resources that is available in the unlocked region. Players can build house, barrack, workshop, kitchen, castle, tower, buy cows, chickens, ducks, pigs, and pretty much more. With these kinds of building, players are also given the ability to craft things such as food, weapon, building materials, and else. But why do we need weapons? Do we have to fight and conquer another (friends’) kingdom? No, you don’t use weapons to fight your friends, but to fight the monsters, which are called the Gloom, that will nag you because it will cost you Energy. Therefore, what you can do with your friends is not fighting, but helping each other to develop your friends and your kingdom. Send them gifts and help them by visiting their kingdom to do some chores
Players will also meet some NPC in their kingdom as they populate your kingdom who give you quests and rewards after finishing the quests. With sufficient resources and money, players are also allowed to explore the world by unlocking gloomy areas around the kingdom.
What’s Interesting?
- Wonderful graphic that actually makes it fun to play.
- Big community which makes life more easier.
- A background story that doesn’t make the gameplay ‘flat’ with many other characters
- Dynamic expression in creating your own kingdom (including rotate and paint buildings). Have it your way and show it off to the others.
- Many updates and events (e.g. Christmas event) that makes the game more interesting.
- Playable in full-screen mode.
What’s not quite good?
- Like the rest of Facebook games, you need energy to play which drains quite fast. If you do not have any energy left, either you have to wait or pay to obtain premium features and shop items.
- Well, you really need a lot of friends or it will be difficult.
Overall? It is a good game, worth to try, worth to play. It is free-to-play web-based game, and you are not forced to purchase their premium items, so you do not need to worry about paying on anything that you do not want to pay for. Enjoy the game, play it with your friends and create a wonderful kingdom of your own. Ask friends about their opinion, and also see their Facebook page here to see other people from around the world showing their kingdoms. There is also a weekly competition of kingdom design that will be published in their Facebook page.
And gamers, that is all for today the CastleVille review, and I hope you enjoy my today’s review. Stay tuned, and good luck for those who are having exam week like I do, and as always : Happy gaming!
PS: also Merry Christmas, Happy New Year 2012, Gong Xi Fa Cai as well!
