osu!

A new evolution of music-game genre has come. This game might ring a bell about the NDS game, Elite Beat Agents. osu! is primarily played by dragging and clicking your mouse to the designated button. When the outer circle reach the button, you have to click right when it hits it. Not to be too soon, nor delayed.

osu-1

Eventhough it’s a little bit hard to play with mouse, some users’ with tablet PC have their advantage. Either using the stylus or just touch it with your finger. Clicking at the wrong place or wrong moment will decrease players’ health bar. If it reaches zero, Game Over!

The game has many songs available and downloadable from their websites. The song, Beatmaps, are actually made from other players, shared, and played by people all around the world. And if players cannot find the Beatmaps they like, they can simply use the song from their Hard Disk and by using ‘Edit’ section from osu!, players are also able to make their own Beatmaps with various difficulties.

Players are also able to play with other players through online, but participants have to have the same exact Beatmaps to enjoy the multiplayer mode. The Beatmaps selection is depend on what the Room Master chooses. Whether a player chooses to play Solo or Multiplayer mode, the result of the Beatmaps that they play will be recorded and players will get experience to increase their level as well. There is also a ranking system that will show players that another player has reach the highest score of a selected Beatmaps.

This game worth to download. It’s not only because it’s a free game, but its also fun! Using a tablet PC or other supporting tools are recommended, but its NOT a must. You are still able to enjoy the fun by using your mouse.
