Motion Game: Lost Saga

Hello guys, back with me Motion Ape and I’m here to give you a review about Lost Saga. Lost Saga is published by OGPlanet, but I actually played the local server from Indonesia which is from Gemscool. It’s a 3D fighting game, and a friend my mine said that it is similar with GetAmped or Mini Fighter.

I would say that Lost Saga is a quite interesting game to play. It’s a fighting game which do not force you to have a high-end computers. What you need is only a (very) good internet connection because latency may cause you losing the game ,failing to hit your target due to high-ping for example. That is the reason why I chose to play Lost Saga from Indonesia (local server) to make sure that I do not have to worry a lot about latency.

In Lost Saga, you are able to choose 1 from many types of heroes. To start playing, you can join other players’ room or just simply create your own room and wait for the others to come. After you create a room, choose 1 from different types of Game Modes to play such as Death Match, Team Match, Prisoner, Power Stone, Crown Control, Boss Raid, Soccer, or Crusade.

In order to join the fight in a room, you will need a hero and the game will give you a hero as your starter. You will have quests as your tutorial and you will receive some items and Peso (in-game money) after completing the quests or finishing a battle. Those Peso can also be used to rent equipment and heroes (you can buy heroes permanently by using the Game Cash). The game controller is simple. You can move your characters using the arrow button, ‘A’ to jump, ‘S’ to block attacks, and ‘D’ to attack. There are also some combinations to activate the hero’s skills such as ‘A+S’ or ‘A+D’ or ‘A+S+D’ or ‘S+D’. Every heroes has their unique abilities.

What’s good?
- The design of the characters and the game world is quite simple, I’d say it is a Medium-Quality graphic with good skills animation.
- You don’t need to have a high-spec computer to play this.
- Room system with centered-start button (room master doesn’t have to wait for the ‘READY’ to start the game).
- Customizable character’s looks (you can buy it from the shop for permanent – STYLE only).
- Interesting free-time features by going to a plaza (like a chat room) to fight with other players for fun (without EXP or other points), fishing, treasure hunting, or just to chat with fellow players.

What’s not good?
- Hard to control and limited movement of the hero. Sometimes I found it hard to aim like I miss the enemy while using offensive skill.
- Players have to buy with GCash to have a permanent hero.
- Players have to buy equipment and heroes with time limitation (7 days, or 1 week, etc) if they use Peso (in-game money).

Don’t be disappointed by the negative points! If you would like to play an online fighting game or just want to know more, Lost Saga is worth to try. It’s just not because about the fighting, but it’s also fun.
